BSA, Soname, others to attend the 2023 SheFootball Conference in Lagos

All is set for the 2023 edition of the football Conference in Lagos slated for the first week of the new year. 

This year's edition focuses on "Women's Football Development Beyond Limits" with top women football personalities and administrators expected to speak on the theme of the conference. 

Confirmed for the conference are the Executive Director of Women Advocate Research and Documentation Centre, Dr. Abiola Akiyode Afolabi; UEFA Coach Educator, Ms. Christiana Oshodi; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tielle Intimates, Ms. Lola Adedeji, and many others. 

Also expected to be in attendance is the President of Remo Stars Football Club, Hon. Kunle Soname who will serve as the Chairman of the occasion; former First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, and former Member of Federal House of Assembly, Alhaja Ayo Omidiran. 


A one-day Football Competition, called 'The SheFootball Cup' will feature as part of activities for this year's SheFootball Conference. 


The tournament will be played at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, with eight teams participating namely, DreamStar Ladies, Royaltoms Queens, Phoenix Queens, Lakeside Queens, Ijamido Queens, English Queens, Future Stars Queens, and Nakamura Queens. 


Organized by Ayisat Yusuf-Aromire Foundation in conjunction with ValueJet Airline, the 2023 SheFootball Conference's goal is to increase the awareness of opportunities available to women in sports and also develop strategies or revise and improve on existing strategies in a tailored-made approach to help develop women's football in Nigeria, Africa, and at the global stage. 


It also aims at harnessing the power of women in football and also using various means to highlight the positive social impacts the game of football has on women and girls across Nigeria, Africa, and the world. 


The 2023 edition of the SheFootball Conference will hold on Friday and Saturday, the 6th and 7th of January, at the Lagos SWAN Hall, Surulere, Lagos.
