The attention of Football aficionados and football supporters in Nigeria will be on Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivore where the girls battle Ivoirians for the 2022 Awcon ticket on Wednesday.

Though, they won the first leg 2-0 in Abuja team coach Randy Waldrum, is not thinking of defending the two goals advantage rather hel is dreaming of a win and has assured Nigerians of good results.

Waldrum made this known while speaking to journalists about Super Falcons second leg encounter against the Lady Elephants of Ivory Coast scheduled for Wednesday at the Stade Robert Champroux in Abidjan.

According to the coach: “They want to be physical, they want to foul, they want to disrupt the game, they want to go round and cry. They want to disrupt what we do but I think we can certainly prepare our players not to let that stuff affect them.

I think we’ve to go into that place on the front foot, I don’t think we can’t go in there and sit back and try to hold the two goal lead we have.”

However the absence of Super Falcons captain, Asisat Oshoala might have a huge impact on the team but Waldrum is optimistic of a good result on Wednesday.

“We understand that if we go there and get a goal, it makes it very difficult for them. So there will be an approach, we go after the win in the Ivory Coast,” says Waldrum.
