Following Rangers International's woeful start to the 2023 Nigeria Football Premier League, NPFL, the coach of the club Abdul Maikaba has offered himself to be sacked by the management if they found out he is part of the part problem of the team. 

Rangers have failed to win any of their three games played so far in the league. 

The flying Antelopes lost back-to-back losses in the opening two matches. 

They were also pegged back against Sunshine Stars at the weekend, a match they dominated but played a 1-1 after missing a plethora of chances including a last-minute penalty kick.

The Enugu landlords were left rooted in the relegation zone of their group with just a point out of the possible three points.

In his reaction after the teams drew with Subshune on Sunday, the coach said he has done all he could do and doesn't understand why results are coming his way.

Maikaba went further to ask the management to sack them if it was found out that he was the reason for the team's poor start to the season. 

“The home draw we had against Sunshine Stars is part of the game. It happens like that some of the time. 

" I will say it is one important point gained as we have been working hard to improve the fortunes of our club, Rangers but unfortunately, things are not going the way we want." 

" I may gladly accept to terminate my contract on mutual consent of I am the problem of the club for the team to progress.” 

Rangers is one of the foremost Nigeria football clubs that has never gone on relegation from the Nigeria elite league, the club needs a quick change of fortune if they want to keep the record intact. 

Rangers still have sixteen more games to make amends in the abridged season.
