Ghana coach Otto Addo and his Captain Andre Ayew are positive that the MKO Abiola will not be a fortress for Our Boys on Tuesday.

The duo believe the Black Stars will pick the Qatar 2022 World Cup ticket in Abuja.

Addo posit that Nigeria inability to score in Kumasi in the first-leg of their 2022 World Cup playoff could be the decisive factor in the return leg on Tuesday.

The former Black Stars winger said the Super Eagles will be forced to come out in search of goals in Abuja which could help the Ghanaians to also attack.

“I think the guys did well but under these circumstances, I can say they followed the plan and even though we made some mistakes, they stuck to the plan. We had good positions and good runs.

“We had good positions, good runs. We created some chances and controlled the game in the first 30 minutes and there were some breaks and some fatigue

“We couldn’t press like we would have wanted to, but in all, it was a deserved draw.

“The Nigerians saw that we can play as well. Even though the Afcon wasn’t good I think we matched them up,” the Ghana coach said

They have high quality players but in all it was equal. The pressure will be on them at home and no away goals can hurt a lot

Ghana captain Ayew who is suspended for the match said Nigeria's home record is not particularly impressive and believes the Black Stars will surprise the Super Eagles on Tuesda

“If you ask me, I am happy with the result. I would say yes because football has changed a lot and I know for sure that we can go to Nigeria and surprise them,” Ayew told reporters in Kumasi immediately after the gam

“As far as I am concerned, I am very much optimistic that the Black Stars can make it to the World Cup in Qatar

“I also know that Nigeria’s home record is not really good. I also believe that the Super Eagles will be under a lot of pressure in Abuja on Tuesday, particularly as they could not score against u

“But I am a bit disappointed in our fans. Yes, they came in their numbers but then, they were not really on top of their voices to support the Black Stars, I think they wanted to see the team score first, but overall, I hail our fans

Following the outcome of the first leg, Ghana have two options: a win or a scoring draw will secure qualification to the World Cup finals in Qatar, while Nigeria must win to advance.
