3SC chose Ijebu Ode for preseason as Gombe gets new coach

Shooting Stars have intensified their preparations for the 2023/24 season, as the team started a close camping on Sunday.

The new season is expected to kick-start on September 8-10.

The Oluyole Warriors are currently in Ijebu-Ode for behind-closed-doors training ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League season.

“After engaging in a series of friendly matches and participating in two pre-season tournaments, we have decided to move to the next stage of our build-up, which is the close camping.

“The team needs maximum concentration to reach perfection, hence the need to take the players away from any form of distraction,” the spokesperson of the club stated.

The draw for the new season will be held on Tuesday in Abuja.

Elsewhere, Mohammed Babaganaru is set to be appointed the new head coach of Gombe United

Babaganaru, according to reports, has opened negotiations with the Savannah Scorpions over a purported move to the club.

The former Lobi Stars handler was spotted at the Pantami Stadium on Monday

Babaganaru was in charge of Lobi Stars last season.

The experienced tactician left the Makurdi club following the expiration of his contract.

He led Kano Pillars to win the NPFL title in 2013.

Babaganaru has managed Nasarawa United, Wikki Tourists and El Kanemi Warriors in the past.
